Swiss stone pine beds

Swiss stone pine beds

The Swiss stone pine is a wonderful tree with healing properties, as the wood exudes a strong scent of essential oils.
An Austrian carpenter we know does not talk about the smell of the wood, but says that he can taste the wood. And the longer we work with Swiss stone pine, the better we understand this. And so we have learned to taste a little in the meantime

The Swiss stone pine bed – a bed for the soul

Until recently, the range of beds made from Swiss stone pine wood was limited, but now several manufacturers offer Swiss stone pine wood as an option.
Below you will find a small selection of Swiss stone pine beds. The Antonio and Valentino beds (not shown here) can also be supplied in Swiss stone pine, as can all beds made by carpenter Hubert Feldkircher from Vorarlberg. For information on the bed models, click on the images.

We love solid wood, but Swiss stone pine has a very special aura. A bed made of Swiss stone pine surrounds us with a wonderful scent that lets us breathe deeply.

There has been a great deal of interest in Swiss stone pine furniture for some time now. Unfortunately, very little Swiss stone pine furniture is sold in the Frankfurt area, as Swiss stone pine wood looks no different from normal pine wood. The light-colored, heavily knotty stone pine wood cannot compete with the beauty and aesthetics of other woods such as cherry, oak, walnut or silver fir.

The values of the stone pine are more “inner” values, which are only seen by connoisseurs.

The stone pine is considered the “Queen of the Alps”, it only grows at altitudes above 1500 m and is considered the most frost-hardy conifer in the Alps. The aromatic resins and oils of the stone pine create a feel-good atmosphere.

According to studies by the Human Science Association (Institute for Health Technology and Research) in Weiz, the special ingredients of Swiss stone pine are said to lower the heart rate when sleeping in a Swiss stone pine environment. Swiss stone pine beds are therefore gentle on the body and can contribute to restful sleep.

Swiss stone pine is also said to reduce sensitivity to the weather, harmonize the circulation and increase overall well-being.
